There’s nothing like the warm sensations of spicy and tantalising Indian food to enjoy with your family and loved ones! You don’t have to miss out on those after going Paleo. There are smart and simple alterations that you can make to make Indian food Paleo and most of all healthy!

 

But I don’t like spicy food, I hear you say. Its simple, just don’t add the chillies that are outlined in these recipes.

All You Need Is…

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 x 3 finger pinches paprika
  • 1 x 3 finger pinch chilli powder
  • 1 x 3 finger pinch salt
  • 1 x 3 finger pinch turmeric
  • Small sprinkle of finely chopped coriander
  • 12 Giant pacific prawns (shelled)

HOW TO MAKE TANDOORI CHICKEN

 

This is a fan favourite! Requires planning the day before but this Paleo Tandoori Chicken recipe is fit for a feast!

All you need is…

  • 2 x 3 finger pinches chilli
  • 2 x 3 finger pinces pepper
  • 2 x 3 finger pinches salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 kg Chicken (oven ready)
  • 4 tbsp coconut milk yoghurt
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • Small piece ginger
  • 2 dried red chillies
  • Small sprinkle coriander seeds
  • Small sprinkle of cumin seeds
  • 50 g almond butter

3 Korma

 

HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN KORMA

 

A traditional, mild North Indian dish that is now Paleofied thanks to a few small tweaks but with the same great flavour

 

Recipe takes around 48 minutes to Prep and Pickup and serves 4 (requires Marination)

 

All you need is…

  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Small piece of ginger (chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
  • 4 x 3 finger pinches coriander
  • 2 x 3 finger pinches salt
  • 50 g almonds
  • 750 g chicken (pieces)
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • Small sprinkle of cardamoms
  • Small sprinkle of cloves
  • Small cinnamon stick
  • 150 g coconut milk yoghurt
  • Small pinch of saffron (soaked in hot water)
  • A few sprinkles of chopped coriander (garnish)

This is the stuff of legends! A Showpiece for any special occasion! Turn heads and wow your guests with this Paleo Raan recipe!

All you need is…

  • 25 kg leg of lamb
  • 50 g ginger (chopped)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • Rind of 1 lemon
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 4 x 2 finger pinches cumin
  • Sprinkle of cardamoms
  • 2 x 2 finger pinches cloves (ground)
  • 2 x 2 finger pinches turmeric
  • 1 x 3 finger pinch chilli powder
  • Salt
  • 300 g coconut milk yoghurt
  • 150 g almonds
  • 2 x 2 finger pinch saffron threads soaked in boiling water

  • 2 finger pinch of chilli powder
  • 1 clove garlic (crushed)
  • Salt

  • 300 g coconut milk yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 750 g lamb (cubed)
  • 4 onions
  • 2 red peppers (cored and seeded)
  • 8 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander (finely chopped, garnish)

7 Chicken Tikka

A Paleofied version of the fan favourite Indian Chicken Tikka.

All you need is…

  • 150 g Coconut milk yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander seeds
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 750 g chicken breast
  • 1 onion sliced (garnish)
  • 2 tomatoes (quartered for garnish)
  • 4 lemon twists (garnish)
